Happy LEON Day and #Christmas in July news

Today, National Leon Day, marks June 25th as six months away from Christmas day (Leon is Noel spelled backward). I thought I would take this opportunity to talk about the upcoming Christmas in July.

First things first. The Christmas in July Readathon. For those of you who participate in the seasonal readathons over at Seasons of Reading, the High Summer Readathon will no longer be in July. I have moved it to August. I set up a poll to get input on if, and when we should have a Christmas in July Readathon. The consensus ended up being yes, the middle of the month, and a 4-Day weekend event. Our official dates will be July 12 - 15. Sign ups will be open soon at the Seasons of Reading blog.

Christmas in July!

I'll be sharing as much Christmas as I can next month. Looking forward to sharing recipes, crafts, literature, maybe some Christmas Around the World, and more! As usual, I will have a post with the Christmas book releases for the upcoming Christmas season.

One of the best parts of Christmas in July, at least for me, is Christmas movies at the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Hallmark just gets lovers of all things Christmas.

Christmas in July at Hallmark Movies and Mysteries starts this Friday, June 28 and runs through July 14. Check out their Gold Crown Christmas Week page for details and movie schedule here. Christmas Camp (image below) is the new movie featured during M and M's July event. Check out the trailer here (scroll down when you get to the page).

Christmas in July at Hallmark Channel starts July 12 through July 28. Check out their Christmas Keepsake Week page for details and movie schedule here. It doesn't look like they are premiering a new movie, but they have a bunch of great movies from last year, and years prior, on offer. Also, the First Look Holiday Preview Special on July 13.

I hope you're looking forward to Christmas in July as much as I am. Until then...

Always in spirit...
