YESSSSSSSSSSSS! Michelle's challenge is BACK! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI Love Love Love Love Love, the Christmas blog. I will have to put this on my links, so I can visit during the season. I will spread the word on my blog!! WOOHOO!!
I was just wondering yesterday morning if you were going to do this challenge again this year. I have a ton of books to knock off the Christmas Book List.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I *highly* recommend Tim Slover's The Christmas Chronicles. I won it from GoodReads in September and devoured it in one sitting.
Curse you! Why must you have such an interesting challenge that I find I *must* participate in? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'll go for Mistletoe level with hopes of making it to Christmas level.
Wahooo! Count me in!
ReplyDeleteI put a button on my right hand side bar.
ReplyDeleteThis is terrific! Thanks for letting us know, Juju!
ReplyDeleteI can't resist a challenge...I'm in for Mistletoe (does this mean I'll get extra kisses this year LOL).
ReplyDeleteJuju at Tales of Whimsy told me about this Challenge and I am so glad! I am a Christmas fanatic. Starting in OCT I start scouting the bookstores for the new Christmas books. Already have a bunch of them! Can't wait.

Ill give it a try, though Ive never read a christmas-story novel... (thats not true if you count the short story of the match seller.. a pretty sad one indeed :( ) Ok, ill try the "candy cane" level to start... but maybe, just maybe, if i manage to get any other christmas story, ill go for the mistletoe xD

Yay...so many great people are signed up! I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteWell, I was planning on getting to Dicken's A Christmas Carol this December so it looks like the Candy Cane level will work just fine for me!
ReplyDeleteThe blog looks fantastic! It gets me in the Spirit already.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this challenge. I've been waiting all year to do another Christmas Reading Challenge!
Even though I overextended myself on challenges this year (I entered 6 and will probably only finish 3 or 4 at the most), I am a total sucker for Christmas books, so I am definitely in for this one :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely layout for this blog...I am in the holiday spirit just looking at it!
I love this idea! Thank you for hosting this! This will be my first entry. I have signed up for mistletoe level....but hope for more! I love Christmas stories!
ReplyDeleteYay I was hoping I'd find a Christmas challenge! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like so much fun and the FEDEX man brought me a perfect book today too!!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad I had to review one already, it was hard reading it in September.
Dollycas
This is one of my favorite things of the year! I have hoarded a group of books specifically for a holiday challenge! And I am aiming for Christmas Tree!!
ReplyDeleteI decided earlier in the year that I wanted to develop a Christmas book collection to read (and often re-read) during each holiday season. It has grown to about a dozen books.
ReplyDeleteI joined this challenge and had such fun that I have looked forward to joining this year since about September :)
Thanks for hosting!
Yeah! I was hoping you would do this again. Last year I read one book and this year I hope to read two! Thanks for the list of books!
ReplyDeleteHere is my list: http://jaynesbooks.blogspot.com/2010/11/holiday-reading-challenge.html#comments
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my site! Another Christmas reading challenge! I'm going to join this one as well! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI already know that I won't finish the challenges I signed up for in the beginning of the year. However, I am in the mood for some Christmas cozies so count me in.
ReplyDeleteWOW!! I love this blog. I will accept the challenge!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited. I just bought two new Christmas books.
I was so disappoibnted, the people at A Novel Challenge had no Christmas challenges this year and I wanted one so badly. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteWow...I can't believe there are 40 people signed up this year! I just got my sign up post done...down to the wire, as usual! Thank you so much to all who have signed up. I hope you get a lot of Christmas reading in and it puts you in the Christmas spirit the entire season!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first Christmas Challenge! Thanks so much!!!
ReplyDeletewheeeee! I gulped down my first Christmas book yesterday: http://featherednest-birdie.blogspot.com/2010/11/starting-christmas-season-right.html
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely!
This is my first challange
ReplyDeleteI don't usually join new challenges because I'm crap at them, but this one I can definitely handle! :) I'm excited to get started. I even have a couple of review copies that will count for this, so time to get hopping!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea for a challenge and is just what I need right now. I finished putting up the Christmas decorations today and can now fully immerse myself in the Christmas spirit!
ReplyDelete*smiles*
Is there a place to link reviews? I am just sort of plopping mine down here XD

I just found your blog and reading challenge through Debbie at The Friday Friends. Firs, I am so on board for the challenge. I'll go for mistletoe level.
ReplyDeleteSecond, this blog is really beautiful. I love it already! :)
This will make the holidays even more festive. I plan to read 4-5 books for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteHere is a link to my entry/list:
ReplyDeleteTales of Whimsy Christmas :)
This is going to be a wonderful seasonal treat for sure. There is nothing more wonderful than a beautiful Christmas story. I am going to enjoy this very much. I don't have a lot of Christmas books, my daughter has them all with her. So, if I buy myself anything this month, you know what I will be buying. Thanks for libraries and Netgalley, I know I will find plenty of holiday reads. :) thanks for letting me be part of something fun
ReplyDeleteThe Wytch's Mirror: A Book Blog
Starting late :-)
ReplyDeleteBut better late than never :-)
Have complete my challenge (Mistletoe Level)...may keep on reading, but all my reviews may be found linked to my original post--on the linky.
ReplyDeleteStarting late, but I'm looking forward to this challenge. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteI did this challenge last year, but didn't have a blog then. I think I will aim for the mistletoe level.
ReplyDeleteI do have a question though. If a book has 3 "novellas" in it do we count them as 3 stories or count it as 1 book. One of the books I have in mind for this challenge has 2 or 3 stories in it, but each one is about 200-250 pages, so I wasn't sure if I should count each one separately. (they have been published separately, but the one I have was a special edition type thing)
I just found this challenge recently, it's a fabulous idea. I'm joining up relatively late, but have been doing a bit of reading and blogging recently that suits it perfectly. I've blogged a number of Christmas kid books- but I see you don't include those. Today I blogged my second non-kid Christmas book- Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I hope to do two more posts before the 6th January. This is the first challenge I've done, and I'm not quite sure how to list my posts, so I'll just link it here for the moment.

I loved Augusten Burroughs' You Better Not Cry- a very nontraditional but definitely Christmasy read.
